BRIDGES

Filling.png

When there is a missing tooth in the mouth - adjacent teeth might be trimmed down and a fake tooth attached to the caps of the adjacent teeth just like building a bridge on the river. They can be made of different materials like metal/metal+porcelain / all ceramic. This can be an excellent treatment option in compromised bone density cases or where implants are not a viable treatment modality. This procedure involves an initial consultation to determine the required space and height of the affected area along with X-rays and CT scan. X-rays helps us to diagnose and evaluate the adjacent teeth on which the crowns are going to be placed. Once the consultation step is complete the procedure is finished in 2 steps over 2 appointments a few days apart. To provide comfort to the patient Dr Vrishali uses technology to scan the cases and send them to the lab. The materials used for bridges can be metal/metal-ceramic or full ceramic depending on a variety of reasons including patient comfort and choice.
