CROWNS AND ONLAYS

When the damaged portion of the tooth is quite large - white composite fillings cannot withstand the forces of chewing. That is when we recommend covers for teeth - called caps or crowns. They fit the tooth snugly from all sides providing a great deal of protection. These covers or crowns are made of multiple different materials - metal/metal+ceramic/all ceramic(metal free). Crown procedures are generally multiple visit treatment modalities at the clinic. In a bid to make it very comfortable for the patient Dr V believes in encompassing newer technologies  - hence she likes to scan and make digital molds of the teeth for the procedure. This greatly increases the patients' comfort along with effective communication with the lab.
